American College Hotel Management students enrolled in the “Housekeeping Management” course visited Semeli Hotel. There, Ms Paola, the Front Office Manager toured students around the hotel and analyzed all the operations of this department, such as cleaning, maintenance and aesthetic upkeep of rooms, public areas and surroundings. At the end of the tour, she demonstrated her skills in changing the quilts and pillowcases.
The “Housekeeping Management” course provides a thorough overview of the technical details needed for cleaning a guest room, managing the laundry room and controlling supplies and equipment. The course also allows students to associate with key management elements such as planning, forecasting, scheduling and determining purchasing needs for the department.
