Hotel Management students at American College recently took part in an interactive workshop titled “Hospitality and Tourism: What is it with sustainability?”, delivered by the educational and research center CARDET.
The workshop aimed to raise awareness about the importance of sustainability in tourism, covering its social, environmental, and economic impact. Through engaging discussions and knowledge-based games, students explored real-life examples of sustainable practices that can be applied by hospitality providers to become more competitive and environmentally responsible.
The session offered practical insights into how the tourism and hospitality industries can embrace sustainability in daily operations, helping students understand their future role as professionals in building a more sustainable sector.
