Admission criteria for undergraduate programs

Applicants for an undergraduate program of study (Certificate, Diploma or Bachelor Degree) must fulfill the following admission criteria:

  • A recognized Secondary (High) School Leaving Certificate (i.e. 12 or 11 years of education depending on the country of origin) or equivalent qualifications (e.g. GCE “A” levels).

Admission criteria for postgraduate programs

Applicants for a postgraduate program of study (Master Degree) must fulfill the following admission criteria:

  • A recognized Secondary (High) School Leaving Certificate (i.e. 12 or 11 years of education depending on the country of origin) or equivalent qualifications (e.g. GCE “A” levels).

  • A recognized bachelor degree or equivalent qualifications.

English language proficiency

The language of instruction for the majority of our programs of study is the English language. Few of our programs are offered in Greek language. For programs where English is the language of instruction, students must provide proof of English language proficiency. Any of the following is considered as an acceptable proof:

  1. An average score of at least of 5.0 in the IELTS examination.
  2. A score of at least 70 in the TOEFL Internet Based Test (TOEFL iBT).
  3. A score of at least 5.5 in the Password Skills Test Plus.
  4. A grade of at least D in the IGCSE English language examination.
  5. A recognized Secondary (High) School Leaving Certificate or a bachelor degree from an English speaking country.

In case a student does not possess one of the above English language qualifications but he/she is in possession of another qualification, he/she may ask the Office of Admissions if his/her qualification is acceptable.

Greek language proficiency

For programs where Greek is the language of instruction, students must provide proof of Greek language proficiency. Any of the following is considered as an acceptable proof:

  1. A recognized Secondary (High) School Leaving Certificate where Greek was the language of instruction.
  2. A certificate of very good knowledge of Greek language issued by the Cyprus Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth.
  3. A state certificate of attainment in Modern Greek level B2 issued by the Center for the Greek Language of Greece.
  4. A grade of “C” or higher in the IGCSE Modern Greek examination.

In case a student does not possess one of the above Greek language qualifications but he/she is in possession of another qualification, he/she may ask the Office of Admissions if his/her qualification is acceptable.
