Students enrolled in this program earn a Master in Business Administration (MBA). The MBA program at the American College aims at providing a highly-competitive education in management issues that will ultimately equip future managers to solve complicated problems and implement creative concepts in their work environment, which will benefit their organization.
Career Prospects and Access to Further Studies
What can you do with a Master in Business Administration degree once you have graduated? A lot. An MBA is extremely versatile and valuable and will allow you to pivot in many different directions depending on your career aspirations, skills and interests. MBA graduates can work in multinational and global corporations, local businesses or small and medium size enterprises. In addition, they can work as Self Employed (e.g. Consultant, Project Manager or start their own business).
The American College MBA can be a stepping-stone for further academic and professional studies. Many of our MBA graduates have continued with a Doctoral Degree abroad in universities in United Kingdom, United States of America or other countries. Moreover, our MBA graduates have continued their education by obtaining professional qualifications such as the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Chartered Banker Diploma.
Accreditation
This program of study is accredited by the Cyprus Agency of Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education (CYQAA). CYQAA is the competent authority of the Republic of Cyprus responsible for ensuring the quality of higher education in Cyprus and for the support of the processes provided by the relevant Legislation, for the continuous improvement and upgrading of higher education institutions and their programs of study.
The qualification awarded is recognized by the Cyprus Council of Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications (KYSATS). KYSATS is the competent authority of the Republic of Cyprus for the recognition of higher education qualifications.
Purpose and Objectives
The ΜΒΑ’s purpose and objectives are:
- Preparing managers of high quality who will meet today’s complex and multidimensional work environment;
- Developing the necessary skills for operating efficiently an organization;
- Developing managers who will be able to integrate the concept and tools of management with the realities of their own business environment; and
- Fostering innovative entrepreneurs and creative business leaders with the vision and the skills to turn vision into reality.

Specialization: Management
Upon successful completion of this program of study, its graduates will:
- Demonstrate competency across business disciplines, specifically apply the principles and the theories of Management in order to analyze and evaluate problems and to construct and implement solutions in the business environment.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, specifically employ appropriate analytical models and apply critical reasoning processes to evaluate evidence, select among alternatives, and generate creative options in furtherance of effective decision making.
- Demonstrate teamwork and leadership skills, specifically function in a variety of work groups using appropriate leadership skills and styles and collaborate with a variety of other people using elements of effective team dynamics to effectively and appropriately structure team work.
- Recognize the need for change, and implement practices to facilitate and lead change.
- Design and develop processes to create and deliver products and services to achieve competitive advantage.
Specialization: Marketing
Upon successful completion of this program of study, its graduates will:
- Demonstrate competency across business disciplines, specifically apply the principles and theories of Management in order to analyze and evaluate problems and to construct and implement solutions in the business environment.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, specifically employ appropriate analytical models and apply critical reasoning processes to evaluate evidence, select among alternatives, and generate creative options in furtherance of effective decision making.
- Demonstrate teamwork and leadership skills, specifically function in a variety of work groups using appropriate leadership skills and styles and collaborate with a variety of other people using elements of effective team dynamics to effectively and appropriately structure team work.
- Integrate marketing theory and practice as to effectively collect, analyse, and interpret data to solve current marketing problems.
- Demonstrate advance marketing skills in comprehending market needs to further revise marketing strategy and craft strategic marketing plans leading to sustainable long term profitability.
Specialization: Hospitality Management
Upon successful completion of this program of study, its graduates will:
- Demonstrate competency across business disciplines, specifically apply the principles and theories of Management in order to analyze and evaluate problems and to construct and implement solutions in the business environment.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, specifically employ appropriate analytical models and apply critical reasoning processes to evaluate evidence, select among alternatives, and generate creative options in furtherance of effective decision making.
- Demonstrate teamwork and leadership skills, specifically function in a variety of work groups using appropriate leadership skills and styles and collaborate with a variety of other people using elements of effective team dynamics to effectively and appropriately structure team work.
- Use knowledge, operational and strategic management skills, and implement methods to tackle and regulate hotels creatively, tactically and effectively;
- Apply major concepts, duties, tools, and policies to effectively manage a hotel;
- Recognize social, multicultural, technological, environmental values, issues, and influences on managerial practices and decisions in the international hospitality industry.
Specialization: Human Resource Management
Upon successful completion of this program of study, its graduates will:
- Demonstrate competency across business disciplines, specifically apply the principles and the theories of Management in order to analyze and evaluate problems and to construct and implement solutions in the business environment.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, specifically employ appropriate analytical models and apply critical reasoning processes to evaluate evidence, select among alternatives, and generate creative options in furtherance of effective decision making.
- Demonstrate teamwork and leadership skills, specifically function in a variety of work groups using appropriate leadership skills and styles and collaborate with a variety of other people using elements of effective team dynamics to effectively and appropriately structure team work.
- Integrate the knowledge and skills gained from the core courses in order to address the issues and challenges faced by today’s human resource management professional.
Demonstrate an ability to apply the theories and practices of Human Resource Management and Leadership in order to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage in the business environment.

MBA Foundation Courses are offered for the two weeks prior to the beginning of every semester/session. Students without a business degree or students who completed their business degree over seven years ago and do not have managerial experience are required to take the MBA Foundation Courses.
A student may get a Master in Business Administration degree without any specialization by successfully completing 24 credits from any specialization courses as long as he/she does not take more than 18 credits from a particular specialization.
A student can get an additional specialization by successfully completing the courses of the additional specialization.

Κατά τη διάρκεια των σπουδών μου έμαθα αρκετά πράγματα που με βοήθησαν, κυρίως σε θέματα Ανθρώπινου Δυναμικού, Μάρκετινγκ και Οικονομικά. Τα πράγματα που μάθαμε εφαρμόζονταν πολύ εύκολα στη δουλεία μας και ήταν πάρα πολύ βοηθητικά για όποιον διοικεί μία επιχείρηση. Στο American College αξίζει ένας φοιτητής να σπουδάσει γιατί οι καθηγητές είναι πάρα πολύ βοηθητικοί, έχουν πάρα πολύ καλό επίπεδο γνώσεων, και ήταν εκεί όποτε τους χρειαζόμασταν για να μας βοηθήσουν και να λύσουμε την οποιαδήποτε απορία είχαμε. Επίσης, τα δίδακτρα είναι πολύ προσιτά σε σύγκριση με άλλα κολέγια και πανεπιστήμια που προσφέρουν το ίδιο καλό επίπεδο σπουδών.

If you are a Cypriot citizen or a citizen of a member state of the European Union, you have lived with your family in Cyprus for the last 5 years and have an annual gross family income of up to €59,000, you may be eligible to receive the Cyprus Government Student Sponsorship of up to €3.420 / year. You can find out if you are eligible for the sponsorship by contacting officers of the College. The College officers are on hand to help you prepare your application for the sponsorship.
Our MBA does not require a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. For this reason, free preparatory courses are offered before the commencement of each semester to students who do not hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
