The Association of Parents and Friends of Children with Heart Disease Ceremony

On 14 February 2023 American College hosted a ceremony of the Association of Parents and Friends of Heart Diseased Children and other VIPs, such as Mr. Chrysanthos Fakas, for their annual ceremony. Students of the AC Volunteer club, helped out with the organization of the event. To mark the event and the date, the main building of the college was illuminated by red lights.

The Association of Parents and Friends of Heart Diseased Children is a Charitable Non-Profit Association that provides support, assistance, and education services to all people with Congenital Heart Diseases and their families. It was founded in 1985. It organizes various actions such as informing the public about Congenital Heart Disease, lectures with invited doctors from Cyprus and abroad, workshops, and programs in collaboration with multiple agencies with the ultimate goal of improving the quality of life of people with Congenital Heart Disease, events, etc.

American College’s mission is to contribute to the local community through scholarships, fundraising campaigns, and offering its premises to charities.  Our students happily volunteer to help out important causes such as this one, and receive awards and certificates for their good deeds.
