Make-up Examination

Students can request a re-examination:

1. When have failed an examination/a course
2. When have missed an examination due to medical reason or other emergency

1. Students who have failed an examination/a course

Eligibility:

Students who have failed an examination/a course, have the opportunity for re-taking the examination, during the resit period, which occurs one-week prior to the beginning of the new semester (two resit periods during an academic year).

Frequency:

Students have the possibility for taking 1 re-examination per course. If they do not succeed in receiving a passing grade, then they must retake the Course.

Process:

To apply for a make-up examination, students need to visit their academic advisor, and complete a Make-up Examination Request form and submit it for approval to the Office of Student Affairs. They will be notified shortly on the resit days, times, and other details.

2. Students who missed an examination due to medical reason or other emergency

Eligibility:

Students who have missed an examination due to medical reason or other emergency, have also the opportunity for re-taking the examination, during the resit period, which occurs one-week prior to the beginning of the new semester (two resit periods during an academic year).

Frequency:

To apply for a make-up examination, students need to visit their academic advisor, and complete a Make-up Examination Request form and submit it for approval to the Office of Student Affairs. They will be notified shortly on the resit days, times, and other details.

Process:

The office of Student Affairs may grant make-up examinations to those students who miss an examination as a result of a medical problem or a personal emergency. In this case, re-taking examinations does not remove the rights of students for taking 1 re-examination per course, in the case of failure, as per point 1 above.
